Urban League plan legal action after the sound of Madison WISC Madison Prep failed

The Board of Education Madison Madison Prep’s proposal to end a 5-2 vote Tuesday morning, and the reaction was swift.

Urban League will operate Madison Prep, and worked to build support for schools aimed at helping low-income, minority students succeed.

“Even in the last 20 years, (school district) resulted in the plan after plan after plan after plan after plan and did not execute those plans,” said Caire. “They have not brought the community into the plan.”

Madison Metropolitan School District Trustees And Nerad are opposed to the proposal, citing lack of Madison Prep scrutiny district among other concerns.

Nerad says he plans to unveil his plan to close the achievement gap on the School Board, which met in January. Nerad said he would not discuss details of the plan until then, however, maintain that the district should continue to work together with the Urban League.
