Nancy kitchen first started work on Mansfield school system more than two decades ago and left a lasting impression.
Old equipment in an athletic scene died Wednesday, Mansfield high November 23, after a battle with cancer. The service was held Monday at St Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Kitchen retired in August 2011 as administrative assistant to the athletic director at Mansfield High School. For years, He poured himself into the Organization, never stop until the job is done.
“His death is a big loss of a friend, but also lost big Mansfield,” said his boss retired at the height of Mansfield, Margaret Conaty, who is now Director of athletics at Hingham high. “He was so dedicated to everything he did. You know how people work hours they like ‘ OK, time’s up, time to go home? ‘ He is one of those people are just so dedicated … He’s not leaving until the job is done. I used to joke with him, said that if added to all hours, he would work for 10 cents per hour! “
The kitchen is always working and always do what he could to the Athletic Department Mansfield. Whether it be game, filling in documents or making sure the players feel rewarded, the kitchen was there for the students.
